Spring 2022 Post 8

I notice that my research question was very broad and wanted to narrow it down some more. I decided to focus on Arizona and COVID in correlation with mental health. Below are my findings.

Arizona ranks 47th among all 50 states and the District of Columbia in the rate of available mental health care providers, according to the latest reportby the nonprofit group Mental Health America. The state’s ratio of 790 people for every 1 provider compares with Massachusetts’ leading rate of 180 to 1.

Reading this makes me remember how hard it is to get an appointment to seek mental health help. We are 3 states away from being the worse state in relation to mental health and available mental health providers on deck.
